Labor of LOVE. The idea of capturing the complexity of the different types of mushrooms presented a unique challenge; how do you account for the minute detail and still hold the color and texture? After a few different attempts I decided to go my own way and capture the way I feel about the color and texture.  Most are views from below as if you popped the cap off the mushroom and turned it over. A few are the perfectly round tops that are so satisfying to hold. Star moss and irish moss create the bed upon which they rest.
